
To accommodate high demand and increased utilization of lot space for permit holders, specified campus parking lots offer attendant (stack) parking. Attendants wear a picture identification tag, and are available at the lot kiosk or entrance during posted attendant parking hours.
Stack Parking Procedures
- When all marked spaces are full, the attendant directs permit holders to park in an unmarked space.
- Once parked, give the vehicle key to the attendant who will then give you a key claim ticket stub from a matching three part ticket.
- One of the remaining two matching claim ticket stubs will be placed on the key given to the attendant, and the other underneath the vehicle windshield wiper.
- Do not park in an unmarked space without the direction of an attendant, as the vehicle may be parked illegally and could be cited and/or towed at the owners expense.
If a "lot full" sign is displayed at a preferred parking area, the attendant will direct you to the nearest available parking area. Sign updates with available lot information are posted as space becomes available. If you have to park some distance away from your destination, BearTransit campus shuttles offer free service around the campus and to a convenient stop.
Claiming Your Vehicle Key
Attendants that have taken vehicle keys remain on duty at the lot until 6:00 p.m.
Before 6:00 p.m.:
- Return to the lot and give the key claim ticket to the attendant, who will return the vehicle key and direct you to where the vehicle is parked.
6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.:
- Vehicle keys must be claimed at the UC Police Department in Room 1 in the basement of Sproul Hall. You will required to present your key claim ticket and driver's license, and then to sign a form before receiving your key. This security measure ensures that keys are released to the person that gave the key to the attendant.
All unclaimed vehicle keys will be returned to the lot where rendered for 5 consecutive business days. All keys not claimed during the 5 business days shall be secured at the attendant parking office and returned to the owner upon request.
