
AC Transit is the bus system serving the East Bay transit district. UC Berkeley students, faculty and staff are eligible for subsidized unlimited rides anytime on AC Transit routes, including the Transbay lines to San Francisco and U-Line from Fremont BART to Stanford.
Faculty and Staff Bus Pass
UC Berkeley employees can purchase a Bear Pass to secure unlimited rides on AC Transit buses. Through a partnership between Parking & Transportation and AC Transit, the pass offers cost savings and flexibility for campus bus access.

Student Bus Pass
The Class Pass enables registered students to ride free of charge on AC Transit buses and Bear Transit shuttle buses throughout the semester.
Bikes On Buses
Most AC Transit buses and Bear Transit Shuttles are equipped with bicycle racks. Racks are mounted on the front of the bus and each holds two bikes. When racks are filled, no more than two bicycles will be allowed in passenger compartment, when seating is available. No bikes, in passenger compartment when there is only standing room.
